Clinical Image of Metastatic Non Hodgkins Lymphoma Manifesting as Bilateral Adrenal Masses
Abstract

Lymphoma is malignancy of immune cells in the lymph nodes, spleen, thymus, and bone marrow-often presenting diversely on the clinical spectrum. Hodgkin’s lymphoma accounts for approximately 10% of all lymphomas, while non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma comprises the majority of remaining cases. We exhibit a patient with aggressive non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which interestingly presented as bilateral adrenal masses.      Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma typically presents as persistent painless lymphadenopathy, however, this is not always the case. Our patient displayed generalized symptoms with no localization, making identification complex. This case highlights the importance of keeping metastatic cancer in our differential diagnosis, especially when a patient presents with masses of unknown origin and non-specific symptoms. Although bilateral adrenal metastases are uncommon, they should not be ignored. Failure to diagnose metastatic non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in a timely manner can be fatal. It is important for oncologists and endocrinologists to work together to accurately diagnose malignancy in patients showing signs of endocrinopathies.
