Pediatric Idiopathic Orbital Pseudotumour: A Diagnostic Challenge in Radiologic Imaging
Abstract

Idiopathic orbital pseudotumour (IOP) is a benign inflammatory condition typically confined to the orbit, though it can affect single or multiple intraorbital structures. Both computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are commonly employed to investigate these conditions. It is crucial for radiologists to recognize the diverse imaging presentations of IOP. In this report, we present a rare pediatric case of a 10-year-old girl with histopathologically confirmed IOP. Initially, the differential diagnosis included a malignant process, but histological examination ultimately confirmed the diagnosis. We detail the imaging appearances, clinical features, natural history, and differential diagnosis of this condition.
