Peritoneal Hydatidosis Secondary to Rupture of a Hydatid Cyst of the Liver
Abstract

The hydatid cyst is a parasitosis that is endemic in Morocco. We report a rare case of a 23-year-old patient from a rural area admitted to an emergency surgery with acute abdominal pain. There is the notion of a previous similar episode that occurred post-traumatically and resolved spontaneously. The diagnosis of both hepatic and peritoneal hydatidosis was made by abdomino-pelvic CT scan.Surgical management was rapidly instituted, with simple postoperative follow-up. The aim of our work is to show intra operative images of a rare case of peritoneal hydatidosis.
